What are error codes for?

Error Code Search offers information on the cause of the malfunction and the status of your air conditioner. By checking the error code, you are able to identify the status and the issue of the air conditioning system.

Purpose of self-diagnosis by error codes.

It allows for the end consumer to have an indicative of what the fault may be.

For Panasonic Air-Conditioning Unit

Please refer to the following for a simple 5 step guide to check the error codes for Residential Air-conditioner via the remote controller.

  2. By pressing the TIMER “▲” button once, the next error code (if any) will be displayed; press “▼” button once, previous error code will be displayed.
  3. If error code displayed matches the error code saved in unit memory (abnormality detected) Indoor PCB will buzzer for 4 seconds to indicate the correct error code.
  4. If “CHECK” button is pressed again or without any operation for 30 seconds, the diagnosis mode will turn off.
  5. Turn ON the unit and reset the error code by pressing the AC reset.

Reference to Error Code Table

After obtaining the error code (H00, H97 etc.) cross refer to the table for a simple self-diagnosis.

For example, H00 would indicate no fault found.

Note:

“O” – Frequency measured and fan speed fixed. The memory data of error code is erased when the power supply is cut off, or press the Auto Switch until “beep” sound heard following by pressing the “CHECK” button at Remote Control.

Although operation forced to stop when abnormality detected, emergency operation is possible for certain errors (refer to Error Codes Table) by using Remote Control or Auto Switch at indoor unit. However, the Remote-Control signal receiving sound is changed from one “beep” to four “beep” sounds.

While error codes are helpful and shed some light to what may be the cause of aircons not functioning. Please note that the remote controller is only able to show one error code at a time, in the event of multiple error codes, subsequent error codes will only be reflected after rectification of the prior errors.
